About Your Provider
Amy Cavanagh is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a National Certification in Dermatology. She has been practicing dermatology for 19 years and joined Chapel Hill Dermatology in October 2023 from Richmond, VA.
Born in Michigan and raised in Sarasota, Florida, Amy completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology and nursing in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Grand Valley State University. She went on to complete her masters in family nurse practitioner at Shenandoah University and fellowship in Sterling, Virginia.
Her focus is skin cancer exams and treatments, warts, acne, hair loss, rashes, hyperhidrosis and psoriasis. She is also certified in various cosmetic procedures such as Botox, Dysport and fillers including Sculptra and Restylane. She serves all patients 5 years old and older.
